Title: On the functorial behavior of Ekedahl-Oort strata for unitary and orthogonal Shimura Varieties

Abstract: The Ekedahl-Oort stratification of moduli spaces of abelian varieties in characteristic $p$ is defined by isomorphism classes of their $p$-kernels. This stratification naturally extends to more general Shimura varieties. For good reductions of unitary and orthogonal Shimura varieties, these strata often admit an elementary parametrization. In this talk, I will report some numerical results on the functorial behavior of these strata under the Kudla embedding. This is joint work with Chao Zhang.
