Abstract: Local unitary equivalence of quantum states is a basic theoretical problem in quantum information. Lots of efforts have been made on finding complete invariants for pure and fixed states. So far only bipartite mixed qubits are known by the Macklin's 18 invariants. We report on some recent progress using hypermatrix algebras and hyperdeterminants on 3-qubits. Joint work with Dobes.


 

About the Speaker

 

景乃桓为美国北卡州立大学教授。曾获国家海外杰出青年基金,

德国洪堡研究基金,美国富尔布莱特学者等荣誉。曾在美国普

林斯顿高等研究院、密西根大学、堪萨斯大学等任教或从事研

究工作。作为客座教授或研究员多次访问美国伯克利数学研究

所、德国波恩马普数学研究所、德国莱比锡马普应用数学所等

著名数学中心。主要研究方向为无限维李代数、量子群、顶点

算子代数、代数组合和量子计算等。
