Tianyuan Summer Seminar on Functional Analysis and Spaces 2024

Release time:2024-03-19Views:18

The Tianyuan Summer Seminar on Functional Analysis and Spaces is held annually by the Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics of HIT. This series of seminars aims to bring together experienced as well as young researchers in the field of functional analysis and (Banach/operator) space theory, and focus on the current mainstream topics in and around this research domain. The seminar provides an ideal platform for young researchers to exchange new ideas and to step forward collaboration.

This seminar is strongly supported by the Tianyuan Fund for Mathematics of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

PLAN(updating)

Working Group on Functional Inequalities in Quantum Spin Systems

Organizers: Li Gao (Wuhan University), Qiang Zeng (Chinese Academy of Sciences) and local organizers.

Abstract: This ia an intensive series of working seminars, where we will discuss the recent progress on noncommutative functional inequalities, especially log-Sobolev inequalities and Poincaré inequalities, and their applications on quantum spin systems. The program consists of three parts:

I. Noncommutative functional inequalities

II. Classical and quantum spin systems

III. Recent progress on functional inequalities on quantum spin systems

The presentations in the working seminars will be primarily given by volunteer junior participants, directed by the organizers as well as other top experts in the field.
