Title:Picard-Lefschetz theory and alien calculus
Speaker:Si Li (Tsinghua University)
Abstract:We explain the connection between Picard-Lefschetz theory of thimble wall-crossing and Ecalle’s resurgence theory for exponential integrals. We show how the Stokes phenomena and wall-crossing admit a natural interpretation in terms of the algebraic structures of alien operators. The alien coefficients produce the Picard–Lefschetz trajectory counts, and the iterated alien operations capture broken Picard-Lefschetz lines and wall-crossing structure. This is joint work with Yong Li and Xinxing Tang.
