Sharp regularity results for hypoelliptic kinetic equations in non-divergence form

朱聿哲

摘要: We consider the evolution of dilute particle systems in plasmas and gases within the kinetic Fokker-Planck-Landau model. The interplay between transport and degenerate diffusion in the model yields hypoelliptic smoothing effects. Beyond interior estimates, boundary regularity is limited by singular boundary sets inherent to kinetic transport flows. We investigate recent developments toward sharp results for hypoelliptic kinetic equations in non-divergence form, with an emphasis on analytical approaches that do not rely on energy methods.

Fusion systems with 2-generated essential subgroups

张宝羽

摘要: Local finite group theory has been an important topic, particularly via the Classification of Finite Simple Groups. Fusion systems are categories defined on p-groups, which have helped simplify and extend much of the theory in the last 20 years and are starting to link group theory, representation theory, and algebraic topology. By Alperin-Goldschmidt's fusion theorem, a saturated fusion system can be completely determined by its essential subgroups. In this talk, I will demonstrate the strong influence of two-generator essential subgroups on the structure of fusion systems.
