Abstract:In this talk, we are concened with a nonlinear chemotaxis system with indirect signal production, which describes the spread and aggregative behavior of the mountain pine beetle (MPB) in a forest habitat considered negligibly thin in its vertical dimension. We establish the critical blow-up exponent for Neumann initial-boundary value problem. Our results extend that of Tao and Winkler (JEMS, 2017).
