Abstract: In this talk I will brieflfly review the Gaussian log Sobolev inequality(LSI) from difffferent points of view. In particular, LSI can be rephrased in terms of the (relative) entropy and the Fisher information. This modifified form(MLSI) admits a simple proof by Ledoux and has been generalized to the quantum setting (Carlen-Maas). We recall their work here and prove that MLSI implies LSI in this quantum setting.
